AMAND – Let It Be – Diki Records

Après avoir marqué l’histoire avec le mythique The Age Of Love et son remix acclamé par Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano, Diki Records a signé un retour remarqué l’an dernier avec Mentalis de Kayinda et son puissant remix par Pig&Dan.

Le label poursuit aujourd’hui sur sa lancée avec une nouvelle sortie marquante signée AMAND.

Reconnu pour sa signature melodic house raffinée et ses sorties acclamées sur All Day I Dream, ainsi que pour ses collaborations avec Lost Desert et Capoon, AMAND livre ici un EP deux titres qui capture parfaitement son univers : profondeur émotionnelle, grooves hypnotiques et progression cinématographique.

Le titre principal, Let It Be, est une véritable arme pour le dancefloor. The First EP marks the first collaborative vinyl release by Reed N. & Niels F., driven by a shared passion for classic disco culture, warm analog synths and groove-oriented house music.

Blending shimmering disco influences with modern nu-disco aesthetics, the EP combines rolling basslines, soulful rhythms and nostalgic synthesizer textures into a timeless dancefloor experience.

The release also features a disco-infused remix by Jeff & Jessey, reinterpreting the original material with funky basslines, warm analog textures and an energetic groove.

The First EP captures the duo’s love for groove, melody and the unmistakable warmth of disco and synth-driven music.

"The electroclash genre sure has been having a bit of a renaissance moment. During its first coming an odd 25 years ago the French act Sweetlight was a favorite over here. Originally active between 2002 and 2010, they quickly positioned themselves within a refined strand of the global underground scene: inspired by 90s acid house club culture, they rose to prominence by releasing a sparse selection of original tracks and a multitude of remixes that were both dancefloor-effective and immediately recognizable. After the EPs stopped coming, the project seemed to have faded. But their tracks never left our bag: they combined minimalism with ambiguous elegance and retained a distinct, timeless quality, easily transcending the turn-of-the-century style they were most closely associated with. We are delighted, in what we consider nothing less than a full-circle moment, to release "Selected Recordings: 2004 - 2006" and shed light on an underrated yet, in our eyes, absolutely essential project. ALT022 is an anthology release featuring four extensive, remastered cuts. Abusator, arguably the act's hallmark track and a crossover hit, kicks off the EP. It is joined by Mecaniques Remontees, which opened the milestone Suck My Deck mix by Ivan Smagghe, and Too Shy, both initially part of the same EP back in 2004. Noir Comme Le Beat, an unreleased curiosity from the same era, closes the record. You will find dark, endless, ever-modulating arpeggiator basses, Detroit-via-Paris chord progressions, and spartan drums. The work is, in the artists' own words, low-profile, detail-oriented, and built for late hours. It's an ideal compilation or - depending on the case - introduction, especially now that new work is rumored to be finally on its way."

Three releases in, Ottagone has established themselves as one of the more dependable forces in contemporary techno production. Selected III builds on the momentum of its predecessors, delivering six precisely crafted, groove-oriented tracks alongside two exclusive vinyl cuts making their first appearance here. Purposeful, cohesive, and as rhythmically compelling as the series has come to promise.

After his successful debut on Limo Trax Yellow, Fragoso is joined by none other than DJ Vibe for a four track collaborative EP. With a career spanning from 1992 to the present day, DJ Vibe has been arguably Portugal’s biggest contributor to the house canon, notable for releases as Underground Sound of Lisbon, hundreds of remixes on labels like Tribal and Twisted, as well as for the prolific catalog of his Kaos Records. ‘The Train’ features 4 tracks tailored for big rooms in the tribal, driving style Vibe made his name with - highly functional and not to be missed.

The Saint Wax label branches out with a new series of edits from founder Eduardo Barbi aka Gledd, who traverses funk, disco and soul across five irresistible cuts. 'Street Preacher' has a spoken word that reminds of early rap days paired with a rousing choral backing, then 'Stevie's Word' turns up the funk with a chunky bassline. 'Do It For Me' is another gospel-fuelled pumper with big stabs ramping up the intensity and then 'Under The Moonlight' is a classy disco stomper lead by florid and chunky funk in the drums. 'Your Love' is an excitable finish with big horns, bigger chords and even bigger vocals. It's big, basically.

20:20 Vision has been defining the house underground for decades now, and much of its earlier material remains as revealing as its newer output. A case in point is this reissue of the rare Echo Beach release. Founder Ralph Lawson and his old pal Carl Finlow's recordings from The Farm in the Rhubarb Triangle retain a warmth and analogue weight that contemporary production struggles to replicate - all hands-on-deck live passes through drum machines, synths and outboard desks, the process audible in every groove. The discovery of unreleased cut 'Blues Dimensions', which was rescued from corrupted DATs, is the real find here: rasping Moog bass, P-Funk refrain and heavy Rhodes that sounds anything but archival. Top drawer excavation.

Produced through live jam sessions with machines and gear, Omar Akhrif’s music embraces the small imperfections that naturally emerge during the creative process. Tiny timing shifts, unstable textures and unexpected movements — what could be perceived as an error becomes the soul of the track, the human value inside the machine.

"Receiver Objects Without Sender (R.O.W.S) is a collaborative project between the late, ever-enthralling Eletun Selona and Martinou. R.O.W.S was conceived as an open, exploratory outlet for the two artists over several years. It became a space to lean into heavier, more textured techno and dub influences, while still grounding their shared instinct for house. The LP release 6.05 for St Odes is a collection of some of the many finished and unfinished collaborative projects left in the wake of Eletuns passing in 2024, finished and cared for by Martinou over the course of the past year, as a means of coping with the immense sorrow."

OOZ proudly presents the sixth instalment on the label with Nate Oldfield’s inaugural solo EP. Informed by minimalist techno and intuitive modes of machine music – made predominantly with hardware – Nate puts forth a record that feels as though it’s dancing out of the shadows and into the light. Eery chords and vocals are paired with sharp percussive rhythms by a producer that seems to revel in the play of music-making. At points stark and almost plaintive, the depth of feeling throughout the record is contrasted by the playful nature of how sound is manipulated. Grooves plod along to cold, melodic chimes, guitar plucks and a discussion about walking through Danson Park near Nate’s hometown of Abbey Wood, South-east London.

Few tracks have left a mark on the underground quite like Tarantula. Now, more than a decade after winning "Top Track of the Year" at the 2011 Beatport Awards, Pleasurekraft's breakthrough anthem returns on vinyl with the iconic Original Mix on the A-Side and two powerful reworks on the B-Side, inviting listeners back into the unmistakable atmosphere of Pleasurekraft's cosmic techno sound.

London mainstays Half Baked push beyond a quarter of a century here with Romanian house favourite Dan Andrei debuting on the label. He offers the beautifully clean and serene ambient, minimal and tech fusion that is 'Orange Sunshine' - the sort of 5am gem that soundtracks deep immersion in an alternative world, complete with real beauty in the chords. Sticky' has a more pronounced rhythm and bubbly blend of rubbery drums and bass, while spacecraft-life synths circle the groove and neat melodic patterns unfold with a curious nature. London duo Brainsurfers aka Harry McCanna and Sam Bangura add more drive but keep things deep and crank up the cerebral details.

The new PST release on B?rft rec is a dance groove oriented record with a twist. 3 bangers on the A-side and a surprising ambient work on the B-side. Here is nice house music & techno beats with a sniff of 90's with rolling bass, vocal hooks and driving hihats giving you the night that never will ends... Classic and old school from deep house to Chicago house, heavy claps pumping bass, moody accords... 124 - 127 - 139 BPM on A-side while no BPM on the B-side. For the club or the Yoga lesson. UK DJ and producer Eusebeia makes his Aquaregia debut with Critical Impact, a four-track EP drawing on the house, techno and trance records that shaped him in the 90s and early 2000s. Bass-heavy and cosmic in atmosphere, the record moves through dark electro, evolving trance and driving techno, with flashes of acid running throughout. Eusebeia's low-end instincts, honed in drum & bass, give each track a heaviness and punch that hits hard on the floor, as his synth work draws us up into the cosmos.
